IWMBA knows the value of finding your multiple tribe, so we host a New Parent's Meet & Greet to connect you with other parents walking a similar path at the same time.  This is a great opportunity to get out of the house, meet other parents with similar aged multiples and to swap experiences of sleep schedules, nappy bags, prams, feeding routines, NICU journeys and more, whilst wrangling bubs and enjoying a coffee. Talk about multi-tasking! All members who had babies born in July, August or September - or there abouts - are welcome to join. Come solo with your little ones, or we encourage you to also bring along partners, grandparents etc who are supporting you during this newborn phase. Cheryl’s passion is empowering parents with positive, proactive and gentle sleep techniques. She wants parents to know that they don’t have to feel like they’re struggling through the journey on their own, and can get help from a trained professional. Working across a range of areas, this session is open to parents of multiples of any age. Cheryl works with families across a range of areas including settling and sleep techniques, establishing a good routine, discipline in the home, transition from cot to bed, potty training, safe co-sleeping, and identifying signs of postpartum depression. To celebrate the beginning of Spring  IWMBA is hosting a special family event to get everyone together and enjoy a little bit of sunshine. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other multiple families, young and old (the kids that is...) What can you expect: - FREE kids meals! - A fenced in playground, so you can enjoy a chat knowing the kids won't escape - Kids entertainment  - And don't forget there is underground parking onsite (entry via Charlotte St) or the Lilyfield light rail station only is 500 metres from the club.

Expecting Multiples? This is an exciting however also daunting time, filled with many questions about life as a parent of multiples. IWMBA will be hosting our Antenatal / Expectant Parent session, which is an informal session covering a number of topics. Whether you are first time parents or if you are adding multiples to your existing family you will benefit from coming along. The session is hosted by parents of multiples who will shares stories, challenges, and top tips to help smooth the path for expectant parents of multiples. There will be plenty of time to ask all your questions as well. Feel free to bring your partner, and children as this will be held in person, with IWMBA buying the beverages. Date:        Saturday 19 August, 2023 Time:        10.00am for a 10.15am start till 11.45am Location:    Due Passi – Italian Street Food        563 Great North Road, Abbotsford NSW 2046 Street parking is available. We are kicking off a fundraising drive to raise money for our 2023 Family Fun Christmas Party.  The good news is that this fundraiser is super simple… and delicious! We are selling Cadbury Chocolate Fun Packs. (It has Freddos and Caramello Koalas in it – YUM!) Every Fun Pack box has 30 Freddo Frogs and 30 Caramello Koalas in them, which are sold for $1.00 each.  Every Fun Pack box that is sold will raise $20.00.  We are asking IWMBA members to sell at least one box each. You can do this by taking it to work, or a family get together or any place where people are gathered and might enjoy a sweet pic-me-up. Feel free to grab another box if you’ve got lots of hungry buyers lined up! IWMBA will purchase the boxes from Cadbury and have them delivered a committee members house (Alex based in Croydon Park). Members who are willing to help fundraise will be asked to complete the upfront payment and then pick up the box(es).     Each box will be $60.00, and you are welcome to continue to sell through the Freddos/Caremellos until they have been enjoyed. IWMBA will not be taking back any product once collected. After you have sold the box, you do not need to return any funds to us as we have collected the upfront $60. You will have collected the $60 back. The Fun Pack boxes will be available for pick up on:  Sat 29th July between 8.30-10.30am and 3-6pm Sun 30th July 10-3pm Mon 31st July 8.30-4pm From 45a Windsor Avenue Croydon Park, (entry on Lyminge Rd). We’re confident that this fundraising drive will help us reach our goal of raising $500.00 for the 2023 IWMBA Christmas Party which will make it even more of a wonderful celebration and bring together our Inner West Multiple Families for loads of Christmas fun. IWMBA has organised an exclusive discounted entry for Sunday 2ndJuly at the Sydney Bus Museum which is in the heart of the Inner West.  Step inside the tramshed to see an extensive collection of vintage buses, view a World War II exhibition and experience a ride aboard a vintage double-decker bus!  Families can visit during their operating hours. Great for all ages, especially those who love buses!  A discounted entry coupon will be issued to you via mobile closer to the event, so your family can purchase a ticket at the museum for $30 (standard entry is $50)

Bring your picnic rug and join us for a family picnic! Held at Grant Park in Enfield a new(ish) all abilities playground. Fully fenced and plenty of space for the kids to play. Parking available in surrounding streets and near Enfield Aquatic Centre. Bring snacks and coffee as no caffine within close walking distance.

IWMBA and SANDY BAKE SHOP present  Parents Craft and Whine Night! Sandy Bake Shop is a beautiful space in Balmain, operated by one of our very own committee members Janelle.   Come join us for some lovely nibbles, a dabble in some simple crafts, and have a drink on us. This is a great opportunity to meet other multiple parents... crafting is optional, cake eating compulsory. Arrive from 7pm for a 7.30pm start After 7pm you can park right outside on Darling St for free. The space is tucked behind Wilhelmina's bar, so enter via the side gate. Note this is an adult only event.
