You are invited to attend an online information session on sleep and settling hosted by IWMBA in partnership with Elaine Harvey from Lullababy SOS. The information session is aimed at parents and carers of babies and children from newborns to 2 years old. Elaine is donating her time to IWMBA to provide members with the information you need about babies' sleep needs and cues and how simple changes, simple routines, and gentle sleep routines can build foundations to help establish strong sleep foundations for your multiples. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions following the presentation. We look forward to seeing you online! Webinar details will be emailed to attendees a few days before the event.  A bit about Elaine Elaine has over 22 years of experience in the industry and a background as an Early Childhood Educator and a Maternity Nurse Practitioner; she has been a Certified Paediatric Sleep Specialist since 2007 and is the Australasian Regional Director of the International Association of Professional Sleep Consultants. As Elaine says, “Babies and children, unfortunately, don’t come with a manual, and everyday parents put pressure on themselves and feel the pressure externally to have all the answers. Ever wanted to run away and join the circus!?  Are your kids constantly monkeying around and ‘literally’ hanging from the curtains!? Let us help you out!! These school holidays we are partnering with Aerialize to bring a discounted School Holiday Workshop to our IWMBA families with children aged 3-10 years old. The workshop will cover a range of circus skills (hula, juggling, or etc), acro ground work and Aerials (trapeze, tissu, aerial ring etc)!The workshop will cater for all abilities - for all this kids that are lovers of climbing, balancing, bouncing, swinging, spinning, jumping and hanging. Booking are essentially as places are limited (only 28!) so please book early to avoid disappointment: Normal cost is $80 per multiple set (or $40 each). Aerealize are offering an exclusive discount of $10pp ... AND IWMBA is chipping in $10pp so as a members you ONLY PAY $40 per multiple set (or $20 each)! Whoop! Siblings welcome! **Please note if you are enrolling children under 6 you will need to stay and be actively involved with the class. Come along to IWMBA’s Multiple Birth Awareness Week (MBAW) and Easter Celebration. If Easter and chocolate isn’t your vibe, then this is a great occasion to chat about the advocacy work which AMBA is leading. We know every multiple birth family has a story, and MBAW is about highlighting those those stories, unfiltered (aka this year's MBAW theme). We want to highlight all the joy as well as the considerable financial cost, impacts to parent’s mental health, the high-risk nature of multiple birth pregnancies and first year experiences. SO LET’S BRING ON THE FUN UNFILTERED!… you can expect: An EASTER EGG HUNT planned for all the children to find a treasure A fenced PLAYGROUND and path for BYO scooters LIGHT SNACKS provided thanks to Sandy Bakes! Expecting Multiples? This is an exciting however also daunting time, filled with many questions about life as a parent of multiples. IWMBA will be hosting our Antenatal / Expectant Parent session, which is an informal session covering numerous topics. Whether you are first time parents or if you are adding multiples to your existing family you will benefit from coming along. The session is hosted by parents of multiples who will shares stories, challenges, and top tips to help smooth the path for expectant parents of multiples. There will be plenty of time to ask all your questions as well. Feel free to bring your partner, and children as this will be held in person. Light refreshments will be provided.   Date: Saturday 9 March, 2024 Time: 10.15am for a 10.30am start till 12.00pm Location: Five Dock Library Bay Room Level 1, 4/12 Garfield St, Five Dock   Parking is available in the Coles carpark, accessible on Garfield Street.
